Before the Manger, There Was a Journey
Before the first Christmas morning, there was a journey of faith, trust, and quiet hope. With his staff in hand, Joseph accompanies Mary on her journey to Bethlehem, where she rides upon a gentle donkey. This beautiful scene captures a meaningful moment before the Nativity, honoring the devotion, protection, and anticipation at the heart of the Christmas story.
Finished in warm matte ivory, these two resin figurines feature softly sculpted expressions, flowing robes with subtle elongated carving lines, and gentle aged shading that brings depth to their carved-wood appearance. Joseph stands as an independent figure with his staff, while Mary and the donkey form one integrated piece. Together, they create a timeless display that feels peaceful, understated, and rich in meaning.
Whether arranged on a fireplace mantel, displayed on a bookshelf, or placed among your favorite Christmas decorations, this set brings a thoughtful expression of faith into your home. More than seasonal décor, it is a reminder that the first Christmas began with a journey guided by trust, love, and hope.
Product Features
🌟 A Meaningful Chapter of the Christmas Story
Go beyond the familiar Nativity scene with a moment from the journey to Bethlehem. Joseph stands with his staff beside Mary as she travels on a donkey, capturing the faith, devotion, and quiet anticipation that preceded the first Christmas.
🤍 A Peaceful Expression of Faith
Gentle expressions, graceful poses, and softly sculpted forms convey a sense of care, protection, and hope. This meaningful scene celebrates the spiritual heart of Christmas and makes a beautiful addition to a faith-centered home.
🪵 Warm Carved-Wood Appearance
Crafted from resin with a carved-wood look, each figurine features a matte warm ivory finish, flowing sculpted contours, elongated carving lines along the robe folds, and subtle aged shading. The understated finish creates the warmth and character of carved wood without a glossy, polished appearance.
🕊️ Two Independent Figurines
The set includes two separate pieces: Joseph with his staff and Mary riding a donkey. Mary and the donkey form one integrated figurine, while Joseph stands independently. With no shared base, the pieces can be arranged with adjustable spacing to create a natural, balanced display.
🏡 Timeless Christmas Home Décor
The warm neutral palette and sculptural silhouettes complement traditional, rustic, and understated holiday interiors. Display the set on a fireplace mantel, bookshelf, entryway console, or tabletop as a meaningful focal point throughout the Christmas season.
